Students are admitted by audition or invitation only. If you received an invitation or scholarship letter or have participated in past Lyceum Music Festivals and are between the ages of 13-21, please proceed to On-line Registration. Students who participated in their state's All-State Orchestra program may submit proof of participation in lieu of an audition. Availability is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Week One Instrumentation: 2 flutes (one doubling piccolo), 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 1 contra-bassoon, 4 horns, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, 1 tuba, 2 percussion, and strings.
Week Two Instrumentation: 3 flutes (one doubling piccolo), 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 1 contra-bassoon, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, 3 trombones, 2 percussion, harp and strings.
String, wind, and brass players please prepare for your audition:

Major scale of your choice. Scale should highlight your mastery of range and tone. |

Five-minute solo that highlights your strengths as a player, memorization preferred, piano accompaniment is optional. |
Percussionists:

Recorded Auditions
Recorded auditions will be reviewed in the order received. Recorded auditions should be submitted as DVD, CD, or Audio Cassette only.
Recorded auditions must be submitted with $25 audition fee.
Please note enrollment is limited by the instrumentation noted above. Wind, Brass, and Percussion players are strongly encouraged to submit applications as early as possible because of limited availability.
